Is it the media or social media that we should fear?

We have lived with the seasonal flu all our lives and don't normally need to worry about being hospitalised if we get it. It's no joke, 346,000 have died so far this year.

Every year an estimated 290,000 to 650,000 people die in the world due to complications from seasonal influenza viruses*.

Over 900,000 have died of Coronavirus this year. Almost three times the seasonal flu.

The media doesn't scare me, social media posts like this do.
