Groundhog Day, Again

A fair day

Is it fair to be always treated like someone’s punching bag?

Is it fair that I always have to bury by head deeper underground?

To duck down as soon as I lift my head above the parapet?

I’m a pacifist, I never use my fists but is it fair?

Living day to day like it’s Groundhog Day.

Constantly trying to be hit,

treated like a rat, where I always have to be quick

if I don’t want to be hit or attacked

Is it fair to always be hit with a stick?
