What is the cost of cheap food?
This year I have started buying free-range eggs which are almost three times the price of eggs that come from caged hens but I think it is worth it.
Let's address the cruelty and bad practices when we can but I don't want to see a fruit supplier being boycotted and closing, immigrants flying during a pandemic, xenophobia or exploitation of workers.
These are hard jobs with long hours and poor pay and if you want food on your plate at dinnertime, remember your prayers,
Bless the hands that make the food.
It would be a sin to see good food go to waste and that plane might have just answered some prayers.
