Welcomed to the Ambassador's residence on Wednesday the 6th of November, The Madrid Harps GAA team brought along their most recent trophy which the team will be holding up high for the foreseeable future.
Javier was singled out by the team and Ambassador Síle Maguire presented him with a medal for his dedication to the club since it was founded.
JJ Keaney and Lorcan Kennedy were both present for the presentation and must have been delighted to see how far the club has come in the last 15 years.
The Ambassador was presented with a number 15 jersey to represent the milestone in the club's decade and a half history which started with a game in Retiro in 2004.
They saw war against Warsaw and lived to tell the tale
The men had successfully beaten Warsaw 0-9 to 0-7 in the final in Vienna and returned with some silverware, write-ups, videos, and memories. No doubt there will be a Warsaw Pact created by the other teams to try and beat the Madrid Harps in the future.

STEPPING OUT ON THE STAIRS: The girls were unfortunately beaten by Belgium 0-13 – 1-6.
While the night continued early into the morning and some of us didn't make it up early for work, if you were the Ambassador, you'd be home, on Irish soil by now and with a #15 jersey to be proud of.
Let's all raise a Copa to the memories ahead and the jerseys yet to be worn by Spanish and Irish players, both male and female, young and young at heart and by Ambassadors and sponsors who recognise the importance of putting on the jersey and representing Ireland in Europe and Spain.
Remember remember the 6th of November, Ambassador Maguire welcomes the Madrid Harps.
