When this is all over
will we skate on the dead?
Will we wake one morning
and find our elderly dead?
Did people panic,
in this pandemic?
OR did we take a gamble
on Cheltenham and gatherings instead?
The next US President
will not be a septuagenarian
if all the candidates are dead
Stop shaking hands and your head
while washing your hands
of all responsibility
As leaders in the US/UK
pack churches on Easter Sunday
and embrace "Herd Immunity"
US/Uk leaders wondering why
everybody says U suck.
Punches Pilot won’t be the only one
washing his hands on Easter Sunday
When churches full of people,
waiting for their leader to resurrect
their dead, and heal the sick
Their prophet focused more on profit
as he promises Coronavirus
“will miraculously disappear”
As Prince Charles Skypes,
Trudeau, BoJo and Merkel
As my city converts
an ice rink to a morgue
When this is all over
will we skate on the dead?
Will we wake one morning
and find our elderly dead?
This is the question in my head,
when I finally go to bed
Will tomorrow bring more mourning?
