In the past newspapers had no colour, they printed black ink on White paper and the only extra colour you might find was
the newspaper´s name in red.
Many English tabloids such as the Star and the Sun used red headings. The word tabloid actually comes from pharmaceutical tablets which were developed in the late 1880s.
These tablets were condensed and compressed powders that were easy to swallow.
Interesting when we think that nowadays we get our condensed news on our tablets and iPads.
Interviewing one of their English teachers, students from 2ºEso asked Morgan Fagg about his experience working as a journalist for a newspaper.
Juan and Alberto asked several questions including a question about his best experience working as a Photojournalist. His response of course, “being interviewed by my students on Spanish radio.”
